Tea of the day: Mate Hauduke (Brasil)
I’ve always thought Mate was a green tea, but today I learned that it comes from the Yerba bush in South America and that it isn’t no tea at all but one of those fakes (like Rooibos), this one does at least look like tea though… =)
Apparently it was something the indians drank as a stimulant before they went hunting and after they been hunting and every time in between, at least according to the wiki article.
It contains so much Caffein, Theobromine, Theophylline and such stuff that it sounds like something right out of the book about a shaman I’m reading at the moment (Journey to Ixtlan)
It was good though but slightly bitter and it could be more taste in it… I’ll give it a score of 7/10 and with that I’ll go for a second cup, cheers. =)
